The Villages eye care starts at Hindsight Eye Care. We have served this community since 2007, and our office is on Burnsed Blvd in Pinellas Plaza. Our goal is simple: we want you to see your best at every visit.
The Villages eye care for every visit
Every patient gets a full eye exam and clear answers. We check how well you see, and we check how healthy your eyes are. Your eyes can also show early signs of other health problems, such as high blood pressure, diabetes or glaucoma.

Eyeglasses made in our own lab
We show more than 1,000 designer and brand-name frames. Because we have our own 1-hour optical lab, we can make many pairs of glasses the same day. We make single vision, bifocal, trifocal and progressive lenses, plus Transitions lenses.

Contact lens exams and fittings
We do contact lens exams and fittings for most eyes, including eyes that are hard to fit. Our team helps you choose lenses that feel comfortable, and we teach you how to put them in and care for them. See more on our contact lenses page.

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. We are also closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Day, the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving.
Our office has a wheelchair-accessible entrance. You can request an eye exam online or call us any weekday.
Who we serve. Patients come to us from The Villages, Lady Lake, Wildwood, Leesburg, Oxford, Summerfield, Fruitland Park, Ocala, Okahumpka and Sumterville. Read the eye exam pages for nearby towns and our Google reviews to see what neighbors say.
Paying for your visit. We accept most major vision and medical plans, so please call to check yours. You can also use the CareCredit credit card for eye care and eyewear.
Your eye doctor. Dr. James A. Russell, OD, is a board certified optometric physician.
