Looking for an eyeglass store in The Villages? Hindsight Eye Care has more than 1,000 designer and brand-name frames, and our own lab can make many pairs the same day.

An eyeglass store with its own 1-hour lab

Our own optical technicians make the glasses you buy here. They cut each lens to your prescription on modern computerized lens equipment, and with the lab on site, many pairs are ready the same day.

Give us a call before you come, since the wait depends on your lenses. Our 1-hour optical lab page tells you more.

Lenses we make for you

We make every main type of lens here and carry the major lens brands. Pick the ones that suit how you spend your day. For more help, see our guide to eyeglass lenses.

Single vision eyeglass lens for near reading

Single vision lenses have the same power across the whole lens. We can make them for reading, for screens, or for seeing far away.

Bifocal eyeglass lens with a reading section at the bottom

Bifocal lenses have two zones with a visible line. The top part helps you see far away. The bottom part helps you read.

Trifocal eyeglass lens with three vision zones

Trifocal lenses add a middle zone for things at arm’s length, such as a computer screen.

Progressive eyeglass lens with a smooth, no-line change in strength

Progressive lenses change strength smoothly, so you see well at every distance with no line.

Transitions lenses that darken in sunlight

Transitions lenses darken in sunlight and still correct your vision. On many days, you can leave a second pair of sunglasses at home.

Sunglasses that protect your eyes

Our wide choice of sunglasses blocks UVA and UVB rays, and the lenses are polarized. Need a prescription? We can make them with your lenses.

How to pick the right frames

Start with the shape of your face. Most faces are round, oval, oblong, square, diamond or triangle-shaped, and plenty are a mix.

A good frame matches the scale of your face and contrasts with its shape. That balance is hard to judge in a mirror, so our opticians will help you try frames on. You can also read our tips on eyeglass frames for your face shape.

How many frames do you have?

We carry more than 1,000 designer and brand-name frames. That gives you plenty of choices in style, color and fit for your prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses. Our opticians will help you try frames on and find the pair that looks and feels right for your face.

Can I get glasses in an hour?

Many pairs can be made the same day in our own 1-hour optical lab. How long yours takes depends on your prescription and the lenses you choose. Please call us before you come in, and we will tell you what to expect for your frame and lenses.

Which kinds of lenses do you make?

We make single vision, bifocal, trifocal and progressive lenses, plus Transitions lenses that darken in sunlight. We also offer the major lens brands. Tell us how you spend your day, such as reading, driving or computer work, and we will suggest the right lenses.

Do you sell sunglasses?

Yes. We also have a wide choice of sunglasses. They block UVA and UVB rays, and they are polarized to cut glare.

If you need a prescription, we can make sunglasses with your own lenses, so you see clearly and your eyes stay protected outdoors.
