Hindsight Eye Care runs its own 1-hour optical lab in The Villages, FL, inside our office at 2478 Burnsed Blvd in Pinellas Plaza. In addition to complete eye exams and a huge selection of eyewear, glasses purchased in our office are custom fabricated by our own optical technicians. For most eligible prescriptions, that means new glasses in about an hour, not a week or two.
How Our 1-Hour Optical Lab Works
- Choose your frames. Pick from thousands of frames, designer brands and prescription sunglasses in our showroom. Silhouette lists us as a retailer: contact Hindsight through Silhouette.
- Review your lenses. Our licensed opticians help you choose single vision, bifocal, trifocal, progressive or Transitions lenses, plus coatings like anti-glare and blue light filtering.
- Enjoy your new view. We cut, edge and mount your lenses in our lab, then fit and adjust the finished glasses for you before you leave.
Why an On-Site Optical Lab Matters
- Speed. Most glasses are ready the same day, often while you wait, so you’re not without your glasses.
- Accuracy. The people who measure you are the people who make your lenses, so measurements don’t get lost between an office and a distant lab.
- Adjustments. If something doesn’t feel right, we can check, adjust or remake lenses right here.
